Linda Mann wrote that it was reported on the list that the
online irisregister was not an AIS entity. Ok, then why are we
sending our checks made out to AIS? 

It looked like my subscription ran out and there is no notice
given (which is very understandable). I copied the following
from the info:
search engine is:
1yr - $10.00; 3yr - $28.00; 5yr - $45.00; 10yr - $85.00 (All
amounts in USD$)

You may pay by check *made out to*: American Iris Society.
(payment by check is the preferred way)

Send the check to:

John Jones, etc.
