Neil, I have rummaged through all the paper pedigrees I can think of for
Blyth umbratas & bicolors, and don't see a single one with either WABASH
or SHAH JEHAN.  Some go back to WINE AND ROSES, but I don't think W&R is
umbrata.?  I grow it and I don't remember a light rim on the falls, and
I wasn't trained yet to look at the back of the falls this past spring
<g>, so can't say for sure.

In any case, I mis-spoke.  Most of the pedigrees that track back to SHAH
JEHAN, WABASH, or I. variegata have come from other hybridizers.  At the
risk of mis-speaking again, Tompkins, Powell, Schreiners, and (I'm
pretty sure) Shoop.
