Oops - my brain jumped the tracks again!
Neil reminded me:
<The "amoena" from yellow and pink pigments are not the same thing as
those that stem from blue or violet pigments, however.>
I always assume that yellow and pink pigments come from I. variegata, &
since we were talking about umbrata overlay also coming from variegata,
I just lost track of pink/yellow vs blue. Especially since some of the
pink/yellow amoenas also have blue pigments - brown or tan tinted
yellows & lavender pinks.
Neil, have you looked at yellow/pink amoenas to see if there are two
versions of them also - i.e., ones with just an overlay of color on the
surface of the falls vs color all the way through or at least on both
sides?
