Buff is a common color in many breeds of poultry. Most people have
heard of Buff Orpingtons. The color doesn't really fit gold, yellow, or
orange very well, but somewhere in between. I think the birds are a
perfect representation of the color. In the poultry standard, it is worded
like this: "Buff: A medium shade of orange-yellow with a rich golden
cast, not so intense as to sow a reddish cast, nor so pale as to appear
lemon or light yellow." APA standard 1985.
Copy/paste this link, it's probably too long to work otherwise, you'll see
alot of Buff.

Hope this helps.
