Last winter, I actually made a <very> brief "form" to help evaluate
seedlings.  It consists of a table or spreadsheet with one line or row
for each seedling.

Columns are color, stalk height, bloom size & substance, bud count,
branch count, and notes.

I also planned to take photos of all seedlings that bloomed.

Never happened.  Running around pollen daubing like mad leaves little
time for even this kind of minimal note taking.

But I'm glad I did set up those sheets ahead of time.  Thinking about
these minimal characteristics ahead of time did help a lot to motivate
me to immediately rip out seedlings that weren't an improvement over at
least one of the parents.  Especially since bloom size seems to be quick
to decrease in descendants from things like HARVEST OF MEMORIES and some
other rebloomer lines.
