I've gotten offers to take me up on my request for 'custom ordered'
crosses, so now I have to go figure out what I want the most. <g>
I am currently working on three different general categories of things,
but the main one I wish I had outside pollen for right now are the
crosses with IMMORTALITY. If IMM would bloom more for me, I could
possibly make some of these here, but she is <so> stubborn and
unpredictable - lovely tall stalk with large, perfect blooms open right
now.
The three criteria for a pollen donor to cross on IMM, are known ability
to live here, stalk height, substance, and petal width, plus a fairly
scrambled up (interesting) pedigree for colors. Which means mostly 90s
or more recent intros.
The first one that comes to mind is Blyth's PROPOSAL. I would <love> to
have seeds from IMM X PROPOSAL.
I'll have to think a bit about others - several things come to mind that
<won't> live here that would likely produce mostly weak children. But
might be worth trying anyway - only takes one good survivor to start a
new line....
Thank you, good hearted cyber friends, for your kind offers.
