Well, I must disagree. As a bee pod it could not have been said to be a
hybridizing breakthrough for Hager; the blossom is not remarkably handsome,
especially compared to some selected forms of pseudacorus; and the plant not notably
gardenworthy; accordingly, I don't see any compelling criteria upon which it
might have been awarded the Dykes, except sentiment, which, of course, never
happens.
