Hollywood Nights has lace but not here and I have never had a successful cross with it.Now that is an interesting observation. I know about variations in color depending on environment, but never heard about lace being in the same category.
Anybody else ever notice that? I am not debating Mike's observation, but just haven't heard of it before.

Try the Ghio red-burgundy iris; he has a few recent ones all starting with "R"

not
seen or grown one with dark colors. All I have seen is white, yellow,
orange
and lavender(orchid).
Seedling is from Mulled Wine X Honky Tonk Blues. First time it bloomed it
had
just a little, later blooms has a lot of lace. A burgundy wine with a blue
flush. Buds start out all most black.
