If your daughter is in Tucson she should still have time to plant if she
doesn't wait too much longer.

I'm in Los Lunas New Mexico and we are just about out of time. Maybe another
week or two but ... We're colder and higher than Tucson. I've planted later
than mid October before but the losses are high after that here.
