Re: HYB: AIS: Haft Markings

I certainly have nothing against haft markings.

Or at least I didn't until I discovered that all I was getting was busy
hafts from crosses using old cultivars as parents. As a pollen
dauber/hybridizer wannabe, I've had to re-think my attitude towards
interesting, textured, striped, dotted hafts, because while I do like
them, I like diversity. And without some attention to toning them down,
that's all I will get from that type of cross.

No need for a gazillion more purple irises with color that fades and
tiger 'fur' all down the sides, even if they do grow exceeding well.
