I have that book "Lasagna Gardening" by Patricia Lanza. (I think she was
from TN) Someone said that's what I've been doing unknown to me, found this
book and sure enough that's what I was doing. I think I've mentioned this
before also. I've always like the easy way of doing something, but in your
situation you really don't have time. You are 'kinda' in a bind.
I guess I missed the part about the skunks. I trap them. They are easy to
catch, will explain more off line on that if you need. I have pixs that I've
posted before in archives somewhere.

Why don't you check out the idea of "lasagna gardening" for next time? It
is
a system of layering materials onto the ground and letting them decompose in
place to create a raised bed without digging, and then planting into that.
Sticks, newspapers, leaves, skunks, revenooers, you could put 'em all in
there
and come summer, voila. Some woman wrote a book about it and it appears to
have a following. Possibly someone here knows the score, or you could
Google.
