Cult:Policies of Insurance

To anyone else that maybe would like to know more.

 Wondering if anyone else has questions concerning  the insurance of AIS.
This is some of my concerns at the moment.

I would  at least like to have a card like I do for health insurance and car
insurance for our legal binder and to be able to have at all our functions.

I'd also like to have a letter similar to the one Michelle got for our last
event that would cover all our events. I do not want to have to get a
separate letter for each event.  I would think it proper to just have an
over all letter in our legal folder for Iris clubs that can be handed down
to officers down the road.

I'd also like to read the policy myself, to see if I have any questions. I'm
just trying to understand a little more of the system in which I pay dues.

Yes, I would like to know what this policy says.

I have car insurance, health,  and house insurance, of which I have a copy
of each. For car & health insurance I have a card to prove my insurance in
case it is asked for or there is an accident.
I do not just pay an amount and then trust there's a piece of paper that
says what is for somewhere.

As a responsible President of VAIS I feel it's my duty to know as much as I
can.
When VAIS  functions are held, I feel it's my duty to know what is covered
and to share with my members some of the purpose of dues money within both
AIS and local.

Michelle, I know  you have worked very hard on getting us a great policy as
you have explained at our last meeting. I just wondered if there is a way we
could have access to what the policy says, either posted somewhere within
the AIS web site or in a pdf form for all to share as needed.

The only person that has a copy of the policy is me since I am in charge of
the insurance for the AIS.  It does not get distributed to anyone. If you
have some specific questions I would be happy to answer them.

I have spent a lot of time explaining the coverage's afforded under the
policy both at individual club meetings but mostly at the affiliate and RVP
meetings at the national convention.  I would be happy to verbally discuss
the coverage of the insurance policy with out members at an upcoming meeting
if you like.  I have learned from past experiences that just having
something in print allows for a lot of different interpretations and
conclusions as well as a lot of questions.  If the questions are not
directed to the correct individual a lot of incorrect conclusions are
usually reached.
