I've not be in touch with Mike but I know who he is by reading the RIS Journal, etc. I'll make contact - thanks. I read the article by Tom in the RIS spring '14 journal, "Rebloom's Alpine Connection" and it was very interesting. I am now on a hunt for Mrs. Alan Gray.
I've bought from Winterberry also. I have a brand new rhizome of Summer Greenshadows from them that is about rebloom. I should have cut the stalk already to put that energy into starts but - well - I'm gonna let just one flower open then cut it. I'm delighted to have gotten Zurbrigg's 's Northern Spy from them this year.
At this point I haven't zeroed in on a specific era. You look at a catalog and you break your collecting rules. You know how it goes. But I'm trying to learn more and be attentive to the "historically significant" (whatever that is) which are endangered. I can't get very excited about the Sass' IB things for some reason.
My Belvi Queen finished last week. Martie Everest put on a great show for a month and Summer Whitewings has throw stalks with skips between since early Aug.

Tom Silver is working with species irises, with an eye towards rebloom.
I purchased several of them many years ago from Winterberry. Eventually lost most of them to neglect, but still have a healthy patch of Autumn Twilight, which usually reblooms in the summer here. Just starting this very dry year.
The two that bloomed most here this summer are Belvi Queen and Angelic Wings. 

What era of rebloomers are you especially interested in growing?
