Diana Louis asked for my zone when I was inquiring about rebloomers.
That was before all the discussion re: zones in signature lines.
Diana - according to the maps I am borderline zones 4 & 5. I have
always thought I was zone 4 and have been leery of growing things that
are hardy only to zone 5. Now however I suspect I am zone 5. Winters
can vary quite a lot here - Southern Maine - about 10-12 miles from
the coast (Atlantic) as the crow flies - 15 by the road.
The weather here is probably not much different from where you live.
I notice you sign zone 4/5; perhaps that is what I should do also.
If you have information re: rebloomers in this climate, I'd be
interested for future reference ( too late this year). I've never had
an iris rebloom and think it would be quite a kick to see in the
garden about now. Of course it may be the culture (or lack thereof)
and not just the varieties I grow. I tend to neglect the bearded iris
after bloom time. Confession is good for the soul, right?
