Dana -- you asked about changes in iris after using Roundup. In my very 
limited experience of one year, affects of it were only seen in htat
one year.  I sprayed this (&^) bindweed when it was in active growth
near some t.b.
and they were setting bloom, it seems and those blooms were affected, but
after that, the plants were fine.  Even the foliage was unchanged.
I moved the iris from places where I can't control the bindweed, later on
