In a message dated 96-09-19 08:36:59 EDT, you write:
<< Mix any broadleaf weed killer
with prescribed amount of water in a large container, and, using plasic
gloves, fill Mason jars (or similar containers) 2/3 full with the mixture.
Cram the ends of the bindweed vines into the mixture (I put aluminum foil
over the top to keep rain out, but it isn't essential.) Leave the vines in
until they turn brown. The solution travels way down into the root system.
You will have to keep doing this for 2 or 3 years...but in the end it will
work UNLESS there is a source of the seeds coming into your gardens...in
which case pulling, pulling, pulling is your destiny. >>
This sounds like it would work and work well but I would have to come up with
about 20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
glass jars. Additionally, no-one else in this area cares. Therefore, I get
all of their seed regardless of how good a job I do.
