Carolyn and all: This is not a matter of personal preference; it is a
list policy. Whether one person's screw-ups help "build character" in
those of us who have to put up with them is beside the point.
Honest mistakes by folks who are new and still learning, or who just
occasionally forget, are to be expected. But deliberate disregard for
others is just plain irresponsible.
Everyone should review and respect the published policies of this
list. They are designed to make it a smooth and worthwhile experience
for everyone.
