If interested in species irises, rather than TBs, the essential book is "The
Iris" by Brian Mathews, it descibes almost all the species in the genus Iris
in the world at the time of publication. It is an excellent reference and
answers many of the questions that come up on this list.
The first three species are common species but sikkimensis has only been
recorded once by Dykes. I would be very interested to learn of the nursery
that claims to have specimens. Does anyone else on the list claim to have a
specimen of this species or know of one in cultivation in N.Am.?
