Here in the hot dry southwest where the only shade is man-made we have a
little more trouble keeping it alive.  I have a friend here who grows it all
over her place but her place is also covered with trees.  I have tried it
twice out here is the wide open spaces and it has croaked off both times.  I
am going to try it one more time next year and plant it under a large
Sycamore tree.
