Having the same conditions you mentioned I can tell you that both Spurias and
Aril-breds do well here. AB's are kind of tricky. If you get fall rains I
would tend to stay away from any that are over 1/2 Aril. They really don't
like much water during their dormant time. Most of the hybridizers list the
Aril content in their iris. Sharon McAllister has a nice listing of AB's
that give you a lot to choose from.
