Well, Dana, it's that part of your message that says 'subject' up at the top.
: ) Helps the reader figure out what to read first, throw away, or find
later to send replies. It's also what our loyal heroic list master, Tom,
uses to file things in the archives so we can look up stuff that we want to
read later, or for new to the list people to go read about previous
discussions. Of course, some of us who talk a lot might really hope that
nobody can ever find our old messages.....
Tom's suggestion is to edit it whenever the content of your reply doesn't
seem to match the subject line very well. Leave it the same if it's close
enough. Right Tom?
