Just a note re: the time it's taking to process some HIPS memberships.
I'm glad there's interest in this (and I assume other) AIS sections. But
several of you mentioned sending in your dues along with AIS renewals. I
believe each of the sections has its own membership person to whom your dues
and paperwork have to be forwarded, so that joining that way is takes more time
and makes more work for the AIS membership secretary than corresponding
directly with the section.
Anyone interested in learning about or joining any of the sections might want

Another source for the section addresses is the inside cover of the AIS
