HIPS Membership

I don't know what "normal" expectation should be, but I know that my 
experience with HIPS paralleled yours.  I waited quite a while for my 
membership to come through last spring/early summer.  I was about to 
write to ask if my check and application had been received, when it 
finally appeared.  I gather this must be handled by the secretary in 
spare, very spare, time.  Patience seems to be the watchword here, 
but it's worth it.
