Thanks for the tip. Looks like I'm in luck since I just received an order
today with ELEANOR ROOSEVELT included. I specifically chose it because it
was a reblooming historic. Looks like I "done good". Lucky for my Mom that
the grower included several fans of this as extras!

Switching topics, I also just received my first of several orders of
Siberians. Hurray!!! I had a feeling a box would arrive today, however,
I've had that feeling (called wishful thinking) ever since I mailed in the
orders. I'm also a packrat, and I saved a tip on starting beardless irises
which Larry Doucette got from Bee Warburton and sent to the IRIS-L back in
the middle of August. ("A Beardless Start", 8/19/96). Basically, it
involves soaking the plants in a bucket of liquid fertilizer until new root
growth gets started in a couple of days. Sounds reasonable and it will give
me another couple of days to get their bed made before planting them out.
These will be some of the most pampered irises I've ever had, since I've
decided on tough love for my bearded irises. :)

Q: Does anyone else have any "Must Do", "Can't Miss", or "Don't Dare" tips
to share on planting, establishing, and pampering your Siberians and
Louisianas?

Donald (ecstatic over the arrival of my Siberians!)
