The reason I asked the question about MDBs was the difficulty of successfully
growing many, if not most, of the cultivars in the south. We are borderline
here in northern VA, but even here our winters are not cold enough for I.
pumilla, and the pumilla derivitives.
I think it might be of interest to many people in the South if we knew which
miniature dwarf bearded (MDB) cultivars are the most successful in the South.
Two of the best here in VA are two somewhat older ones: STARRY EYED and
LIBATION (which I unfortunately don't have any more.) Hope others in the
