Like Dennis says, as long as they are healthy and growing and green, they
aren't likely to rot. Some climates and soils and topographic locations,
those three qualities are harder to come by. Your biggest potential damage
(that will remove the growing and green) will probably be in the winter.
Mine comes from late freezes, early freezes, too abrupt temperature changes,
too abrupt moisture changes, too much, too little, too &^%$#!@....
Brown tips mean some injury has occurred - and we all know what that can lead
to!
Two commercial growers have added notes to my orders suggesting I build
raised beds with real soil in them. Heck, why not just move to California?
