Help! (I think.) My one and only PCN (I. douglasiana) that I just got this
spring is turning very brown. It gets regular water from my lawn sprinklers,
so I don't think water is lacking. It has been over 100F for most of the
summer--is my PCN rebelling? It's located under a deciduous oak tree, I
thought that would be okay because that's where I saw a couple at
Superstition Iris Gardens, which is in the same zone as I am, and they seemed
perfectly happy. Or are some of you laughing out there (I sure hope so)
because it's just going dormant? I really want to be able to grow PCNs, can
anyone offer some words of wisdom?
