new member-s.w. iris

Hi, i'm a new member living in the southwest corner of Utah which is akin to
living in the part of the south known as Dixie.  In fact our town nickname
is Dixie.  I wonder if I have just been lucky.  I have been growing iris
here for 2o years and no rot or bug problems.  this year though I had APHIDS
(and I am shouting).  whatr do you do for them?  A friend sprayed them with
something and it got rid of them but my blooms looked blighted and the
plants do not look as healthy and pretty as before.  What does T B stand
for?  Is it all
bearded.  Thanks and I sure enjoy you guys.
