I don't think I would know how to have an anxiety attack in the garden. :)
I find gardening very relaxing, even when I'm squishing snails. :) However,
I am guilty of getting excited to the point of obsessing over new plants in
my garden. I caught a very bad case of the iris virus this spring and I've
been using the "feed a cold" (or is it fever?) approach to treatment. That
is I've been feeding my iris habit with new plants and, of course, a full
time addiction to the IRIS-L. Also you're not helping me get over my
addiction with comments like the one below. :)

I've got a few JI's- two in pots (with names), five or so in the ground (no
names). This spring I paid $1.00 a clump for the no named ones in the
ground and they are pretty good sized now. I've got a limited amount of
garden space so they may end up moving to less prime gardening "real estate"
in order to make room for the "pedigreed" irises on the way.
