Yes, there is a mail bomber out there. It's apparently an automated program
that picks random email addresses and subscribes them to lots of mailing
lists, including Iris-L. I can recognize these bogus subscription requests
when they come through, and ordinarily take care of the problem within 24
hours. However, I do occasionally miss some, so if any of you receive
complaints from other victims, please just forward them to me directly so I
can take care of it.
