In Search of Good Articles

Dear Folks,
I am writing in behalf of the Sooner State Iris Society of Oklahoma
as their newsletter editor, in a search for good articles to print in
our five-times-a-year newsletter. Clarence Mahan suggested I write to
all of you fine folks.
     Subjects of interest would be:
*your 10 favorite irises (and a brief description if you please)
*favorite historic irises
*articles pertaining to certain types of iris (TB, MTB, BB, IB, SDB,
MDB, Aril, Spuria, Siberian, Louisiana, species, rebloomers - Pacific
Coast Natives & Japaneses don't do very well in Oklahoma, so those
wouldn't be pertinent here)including culture and care in the garden
*hybridizing techniques
*anecdotal or humorous stories about growing irises, and the trials and
tribulations in your garden or travelling to iris festivities
*any gardening tips (including organic controls of pests)
*companion plants for iris
*grooming, transporting ideas and showing iris
*just about anything to do with iris
If I receive information from you that is printed in a future
newsletter, I will be sure to credit you and send you a copy of that
particular issue. We have over 350 members (mostly from Oklahoma, but
actually from all over the United States).
I wish everyone a glorious bloom season next year, and hope you all
get a little rest now that our plants are put to bed for the year (well,
almost - we still have some to get in the ground - but soon, soon).

All my best regards,
Mona French
