Where I am it get's down to -40...sometimes colder in the

Pat,
I would suspect that Iris setosa (native to Alaska), Iris virginica,
Iris versicolor, and Iris pseudacorus would grow in your area. There is a
possibility that Iris cristata would too. I know that Iris tectorum is
being tried in New Hampshire, but it is a bit early to claim it will grow
there yet.
