Hello, all. It occurs to me that although I have been with this list since
the ol' days of rt66 and iris-list, new members will not know who I am, and
"old" members may not have followed all the changes!
I used to be Dorothy Fingerhood, Newfield, NY, daf10@cornell.edu, or
DFingerhoo@aol.com. The new (and improved!) version is Dorothy Stiefel of
Dryden, NY, IrisAcher@aol.com.
I have grown lots of types of irises, and seem to be settling into beardeds,
esp. historics, with a smattering of Siberians and a few spurias and assorted
species. I am presently in the final stages of moving approx. 400 cultivars
of bearded irises 30 miles, from gardens to newly-broken ground. Its been a
chore, to say the least, and hasn't left much time for iris-talk(ing)! The
beardless still await moving come spring.
With the weather cooling and the long, long, upstate NY winter approaching,
I'm looking forward to spending more time with this list and its members!
