I spent my weekend transplanting irises into newly dug beds. Most of these
came from SIGNA seed that I got in January. I managed to get about 40 of
them planted, but I'm not quite finished...I have 5 more containers to
go.....and 2 of those containers have lots of seedlings.
I also transplanted other things and was surprised & confused to find an
iris seedling growing in a container of wild flowers (Cardinal Flower &
Milkweed). I have no idea what this type of iris is, or where it came
from. I just love these little garden mysteries. Now watch it go and win
the Dykes 10 years from now. <g!>
