Heather,
Actually, this bed was created to provide a more satisfactory home for my
Japanese and water irises and for the seedlings of such things as
Sino-siberians and setosas that I have grown from SIGNA seed and which
demonstrate a lack of enthusiasm for being planted in our neutral to
slightly alkaline soil. There was room enough for one or two more plants,
but I am relieved to learn that SPANISH BALLET is not one of the more
overweening LAs, as it is likely to feel somewhat cramped for space soon
enough as it is if it is happy with its situation.
