     I tried a start of the plant that was supposed to be Neomarica caerula
[blue] but lost it.  The think sulked for a long time, then looked like it
was going to try to grow.  Then, it up and died.  I don't know what made it
die, unless it is a fussy species.  Mine was not inside, but was outside in
3/4 shade.  During the time in question, the weather was humid, and
temperatures ranged from about 12 C up to 43 C.  Maybe Neomarica caerula is
not suited for climates in which alligators are found?
