>I have a dozen or so offsets of Neomarica gracilis to give away
Hi Bill
This neomarica grows quite easily in the ground here in Red Cliffs,
Victoria in a shady spot similar to where we grow the evansias. I also keep
a few large pots of the same as display plants which show to perfection the
arching flattened flowerstalks that resemble leaves with the exquisite
flowers or plantlets attached. Garden groups etc love to hear why it is
called the "Walking Iris"
I once traded this one for the blue one with the late Bryan Tonkin of
"Sylvanvale" in the Dandenongs of Victoria but lost it even after nurturing
it in my glasshouse. Any Aussie listers who may have the blue available or
even the yellow I'm interested!!
Dianne
