Good morning all,

I have been sitting here for the last few days reading all the responses to
Walter's letter about pots.

Walter, Linda and I buy 6 inch or 1 gallon black plastic pots but we buy
them wholesale in quantities of 200 and we pay somewhere in the area of
$19.95 per 200 which equals out to be about $.10 per pot. We buy most of
our garden supplies through a local seed & garden supply company that has a
wholesale department. My advice to you is for you to find a local company
down there that does the same thing.

Walter, we buy most of our garden supplies through this company. We buy 3
cu ft bags of Metro Mix #702 and our cost on this item is around $7.50 per
bag. We also buy seed starting flats with trays in quantities of 100 each.
Most of our chemicals come from this company and everything we buy is at
wholesale price. This what you need to try to do.

We have a wholesale account with a chain company named BWI, I believe this
company is out of the south somewhere Walter. The only drawback to BWI is
that we must buy $600.00 per year from them to keep our account active. We
get some chemicals from BWI and nearly all of our peat moss. However, we do
try to buy from local companies if we can. I would much rather do business
with a local company than a chain store.

Hope this helps a little.
