As one of my teachers told us repeatedly - "there are no dumb questions
except the ones you don't ask". Look what she started <G>

That has been my experience, sort of. Not as true for the everblooming
IMMORTALITY, but has been the case for others. Here, the problem seems
to be more of trying to bloom too early in the spring & too late in the
fall, rather than lack of capacity to bloom both times.

The sporadic everbloomers will probably do better for you & it seems
like most of the newer ones kind of are in that group - I think these
are the ones that have been described in list discussions & I think in
Don Spoon's AIS bulletin article as blooming as soon as the rhizome is
mature enough. So increases formed in crummy weather will just be
slower to mature. Maybe they will bloom late enough in the spring to
avoid the late traumas.

Take notes.

It is ~40 F here this AM. No rebloom stalks showing on anything new & I
have doubts anything will try this late after so much drought, except of
course BLACK MAGIC, which always starts showing color on buds exactly 1
day before temps drop into the low 20's. It finally rained ~0.4 inches,
enough to set out a few pots if I can pry them loose from the brick
walkway.
