Sounds like this iris might not enjoy our hot summers.  Does anyone know
the temperature and rainfall regime for those elevations of Kashmir &
Pakistan?  Television newscasts suggest arid and cold.

temperature conversion approximations in my head at 6 AM (~0 to 100 F,
occasionally worse)
