AR: questions
From: "Donald Eaves" <donald@eastland.net>
Hello Folks,
ESTHER'S SON, a new acquisition this fall, looks very TB in
appearance, both the rhizome and the fan growth. Is this an
indication this one might adapt well to TB growing conditions.
ARIL REVERIE, another new acquisition is said to occasionally
rebloom. Will it tolerate a bit more H2O during the summer
heat than some of the other arilbreds?
It continues very dry here. By this time last year the arilbreds
were well into fall growth. At this time they are almost totally
dormant in the existing arilbred bed. Those few planted on the
periphery of the TB beds are in active growth as are the new
acquisitions which were potted. I'm sure this is due to the extra
water they receive. Would there be any benefit in soaking the
arilbreds and trying to start fall growth? They have not received
ANY supplemental water since last spring. Or should I leave
them alone and let the vagaries of our weather dictate when they
receive water?
Thanks.

Texas Zone 7 - and just about ready to trade an armadillo for
some of those ants. Some of the new spurias had their roots
sunny side up this a.m. after an apparently wild orgy of digging
by the armored force.
