Re: Ipomea indica vine (Blue dawn flower) seeds?


This beautiful but often uncontrollable, plant is now a proscribed weed
in warmer districts of New Zealand. I doesn't however seem to be too
much of a worry in areas where frosts kill it back to the ground in
winter.

My book on NZ weeds says it rarely seeds here. I have often noticed that
many species which are highly successful at spreading by vegetative
means do not waste precious energy on much seed production.
