Do me a favor!

My daughter was bicycling down one of our streets and saw a
plant in passing that looked like a Puya. When I checked, I thought
it was an Aloe. So I sent pictures to Glenn Brealey in South Africa
"Aloe Country!" He didn't recognize it!

So I have put the two pictures on my "Assorted Pics" page at
	    http://www.charlies-web.com/assorted_pics/contentszz.html

I would really appreciate it if you people would check it out
and let me know what it is and where it comes from. My hope of course
is that it is a "mediterranean" plant.
