Well Margaret
I have met this tree many times both in NZ and in Africa (we had an
avenue of them on the African farm) and this is the first time I have
heard any other name than Loquat or Loquat tree.
By the way not so much of the "small and insignificant" please, If Oz
can be called that it almost seems as though we would not exist at all
!!!
