smcneill@mcn.org wrote to ask what weekends the garden was open as she would be in this area in May. Sorry I forgot to include that info. We are open thru May 6. This is to accomodate the main Iris bloom season. If we do not have a horid heat spell they Iris bloomo season will last longer. Last year the first 2 weeks of May were hot - really hot. The bloom season is late this year and could last longer. Come as soon as you get here in May but if our schedules don't meet you may contact me and make arrangements to come when you do get here. Last year the SJ Mercury News found out what we were doing and did 2 pages of color photos and story about our garden. Needless to say we were swamped with visitors and needed traffic cops. People came from several countries, several US states and all over Calif. A few came alone by bus f! or several hours and spent the day here taking photographs. Many people came back every weekend and a few hired a photographer and brought their families back to have the photographer take family photos in the garden. (I don't wish to encourage this) I do try to ask people to stay on the paths so they don't trample my plants. There is always something or lots going on in the garden. Carolyn
