Hypericum androsaemum 'Albury Purple'

Hello all,

Is anyone growing this plant?  I just got some plugs and was wondering if this hypericum can handle my type of full summer sun - 100F for three months and drying winds (Zone 9) - will the leaves or tips get scorched?  Or should I plant it in part shade?  Do you know how large it eventually gets?  I am growing it for the foliage so I will be pruning it often.  Do you know how long it takes for it to put on berries?
