understand what "unrelated' means. Is it 2 different varieties or 2
different species ?
Two _varieties_ are what are needed. With garden plants a variety starts as
a new seedling and when it has been proved to have superior characteristics
these are preserved by regularly raising new stock from cuttings so in
practice all members of one variety are clones and identical in their
genetic makeup,
