I don’t grow this tree, so I’m not sure about the severity of the issue, but I had a man who was completely undone by the dropping of seeds from his Maytens. He said they were just thick on walks and in flower beds, and were extremely
difficult to extract from his impatiens and other plants he had underplanted. He wanted a chemical to spray on them to stop them from blooming. I didn’t want to recommend anything like that to a homeowner, but I wondered if any of you had experienced similar
problems or solutions to this crazy one! Karrie Reid Environmental Horticulture Advisor UC Cooperative Extension, San Joaquin County http://ucanr.org/sites/sjcoeh/ 2101 Earhart Ave., Ste 200 Stockton, CA 95206 (209) 953-6109 fax: (209) 953-6128 |
