Here in Sydney the callistemon are just finishing and some species of
Grevillea are looking great.
The Banksias have just started so if you see a charade swerving along
Heathcote road its me going
home from work checking the Banksias out, which are rather hard to see
at 70km/hour in the roadside bush.

I'd never seen Poinciana trees until I visited Rockhampton. I couldn't
believe how beautiful and fragrant they
are. I'm surprised you could resist planting one, but do they really do
well in a mediterranean climate?
I'm moving to Adelaide soon and I'm told I should be able to grow all
those wonderful WA proteacae, such
as Banksia Coccinea (sp?) and Menzeisii and dryandra and isopogon. I can
hardly wait!
