I agree, Rod, especially in view of the description of the bark. But it
has been moved - we're told - from Eucalyptus to Corymbia! tho' not all
taxonomists are in accord ....   

I've been trying to remember where I can find the name of those
Queensland Box trees which are so ubiquitous in Perth (having been
planted to keep the unemployed busy during the Depression) but I don't
think it was ever in Eucalyptus, though closely related.

I love the colourful E. erythrocorys too - still flowering at the
moment. When in California, I was sad to see so many very boring
eucalypts considering how many wonderful species there are (800 at last
count and still counting, Chas!)
